Preface |

| Landscape architecture, as defined in this application, is the art and science of arranging land so as to adapt it most conveniently, economically, functionally, and gracefully to any of the varied wants of people. From this definition, it is realized that landscape architecture relates to many disciplines ranging from a basic science to an applied science and technology of both natural science and social science including ethics and aesthetic. As for Indonesia, specifically in the Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University, landscape architecture has been being developed to consist of four branches of supporting discipline namely landscape planning, landscape design, landscape construction and management, and landscape materials. |

| Considering the wide area of disciplines supporting the landscape architecture, it is believed that the availability of a wide range of interfield-compiling glossary is beneficial to whom pays attention to landscape architecture. For this reason, the glossary has been compiled, sometimes with modification, from many sources as those cited in references. Therefore, this application is expected to help you in searching and ensuring consistent definition any terminology of landscape architecture and its related field. Moreover, this application being prepared to be completed by its derived-pocket dictionary. |
